<aside> ℹ️ Problem Statement:
GHG emissions are a worldwide concern due the high contribution to the climate change, and Edmonton, the major city in Alberta, is having a high effect of greenhouse emissions caused by industrial road transportation on companies, government, and the public sector.
In 2021, the transport sector was the largest GHG emitters in Canada, a 31% of total emissions.
Addressing the GHG emissions in Edmonton is a work in progress, requiring commitment from the governmental leaders, businesses, and citizens.
The city is growing and continuously finding sustainable solutions to energy use in the transportation sector that will be crucial to reduce the carbon footprint and that big effort with helps to combat the climate change.

<aside> ℹ️ Solution:
Our proposed solution is implementing Existing Framework and Financial Limitations: While a framework for addressing these issues exists, there is a lack of finances to fully implement it.
We need to have Corporate Practices and Principle because Despite public statements confirming commitment to environmental principles, some companies continue to invest heavily in fossil fuels. This includes "blue companies" that claim to be environmentally friendly but continue harmful practices.
Financial Institutions and Harmful Projects: Banks need to stop financing harmful projects. Research and Changing Mindsets: Research from the United Nations, including work by Mark Carney, argues for a change in the sustainability mindset of corporate directors. The suggestion is to hit them where it hurts - in their pockets.

<aside> ℹ️ Limitation:
Continue searching more information about this topic because three days was not enough for the whole team.
Due to the high intensity and short duration of the program it was not possible to research to a great extent.
One team member left at the second day of the bootcamp and the work load had to be distributed between 3 members instead of 4.
Our idea was inspired by an expert and this changed our proposed solution as this was more realistic compared to a scientific/engineering perspective. Therefore having more time to research that would have been beneficial.
